Strawberry Shortcake Play House
So the inspiration behind Avalyn's birthday was this 1980's Strawberry Shortcake "Berry Sweet Home." It use to be mine as a kid and my mom saved it in the attic after all these years. We gave it to her on her birthday. She was excited about it but we realized pretty quickly she was not quite old enough for it. She continually tried to pull off the chimney and kept tell, "it's stuck!" She also tried to stand on the second level of the house. It was a fun prop for the kids to play with at her birthday but it's going back in the basement and we'll try again when she's 2 1/2 - 3 years old!

That is so cute!! I love being able to bring out my toys that my Mom saved. And I can totally relate to the standing on things - they are crazy kids sometimes. The pictures are too cute!
ReplyDeleteWhen my older sister was a little girl she played with this dollhouse. It has been in the attack and now my dad is now putting it together for her children.
