Birthday Party {Sneak Peek}

I've been busy thinking about Avalyn's first birthday for a while now.  I've decided on a "Sunshine and Lemonade" party.  Perfect for an August birthday.  Grandpa recently made Ava her very own lemonade stand for the party (now I just need to paint it)!

Weekend Mornings

One of Avalyns favorite things to do is play on our bed. We started this little tradition on weekend mornings where we bring her in with us when she wakes up.  She loves to roll around and crawl over the covers and pillows.  Of course jumping on the bed is also a favorite as well as playing fly with dad.

Memorial Day Weekend

We had more fun at Grandma and Grandpas this weekend with Gavin. Avalyn got to show off her new skills to the family (pulling up to a standing position). We finished of the afternoon with some pool time.

The company I work for sponsored a Boy Scout Troop and placed 1,500 flags in the vacant lot next to our office building.  It was quite a site to see.  Many people in the community stopped by to take pictures and I even saw cars stopping along the highway to snap a shot. 

More Play House

Avalyn is learning and learning so much every day.  It's amazing to see how she interacted with her play house a couple months ago and how she interacts with it now!   Check her out.  We are having so much fun with the play house we recently added the matching play kitchen (post on that later).

Don't let this little one fool you.  She may be small but she is STRONG!  She's a climber.  Her favorite things to climb on are pillows and mom/dad.  She's kind of like a wind up toy.  If she comes to something she'll try to get over and if she's stuck her legs just keep on moving.

Ava vs The Magazine

Avalyn can spot paper like a hawk.  A magazine on the table, she finds it.  A tiny piece of paper wedged between the table and the chair, she finds it!  I let her play with big pieces because she likes to hear it crunch and rip.  But then, she starts to eat it and we have to say bye bye to the paper.  Of course, she's never happy about that!
