Ava & Gavin

Some recent pictures of Gavin and Avalyn.  They both like giving Leo some love!

Playing outside

Gavin has finally branched out.  For the longest time he only played with cars and trains.  Now he's giving dinosaurs a try!

Cuties in sunglasses

We had to take another trip to Prairie Fire since Gavin has not been there yet.  They both had fun.

Playing with the microscopes

Gymnastics

Just a few pics of Ava playing on the gymnastics equipment during open gym.

She REALLY wanted to ring the bell but this is as far as she made it.  I was ok with that, since that height was about as far as I could reach her.

She loved the foam pit.  It was a workout for myself getting her out of it each time she jumped in!

Fathers Day

I made Jon a little video for Fathers Day.  He sings this song to Ava every day, but he changes the words to "My Little Avalyn."

VBS 2015

Ava attended VBS for the first time this year. She had a lot of fun. She called it "Bible Camp." She came home with lots of crafts and of course loved the singing! The daily themes were God provides, comforts, heals, forgives, and loves us forever.

Pool Time

The first couple weeks after the pool was open were really dingy. Cold and tons of rain. FINALLY we got some nice sunny weather. Here are a few pics from our first pool trip of the season.  Ava still loves swimming.  This year she's especially into her pool float and her water gun.

Taking a break and eating snacks.  She said she was cold, lol.

Hair Care

I decided to try a "blow out bar" to straighten Ava's hair. She didn't care for the tugging, so instead they dried it and then used a hair straightener.   It took a while, the entire appointment took 1 1/2 hours!  Luckily she did well with snacks and the tablet.

After it was all done!

The next morning!  Silly me for thinking straight hair was going to be easier than curly!!

Since is was straight I took her to get it cut.  She'd never had a real good hair cut before, because she was so young and wouldn't sit through the straightening process.  As you can see, the ends were thin and damaged.  She really needed a cut.

Getting a lot taken off the bottom.

After the cut

Im planning to find a Diva Curl Specialist in our area so I can get it cut more often without having to straighten it.  Im hoping in a year of so she'll be ok with the blow out.  I hate using the heated tools on her hair!  I was cringing the entire time!!

Prairiefire Play Dates

A variety of shots from our play dates to the Museum.

I told the kids to freeze for a picture, lol.  Too cute, they were even color coordinated!
