Hair Care

I decided to try a "blow out bar" to straighten Ava's hair. She didn't care for the tugging, so instead they dried it and then used a hair straightener.   It took a while, the entire appointment took 1 1/2 hours!  Luckily she did well with snacks and the tablet.

After it was all done!

The next morning!  Silly me for thinking straight hair was going to be easier than curly!!

Since is was straight I took her to get it cut.  She'd never had a real good hair cut before, because she was so young and wouldn't sit through the straightening process.  As you can see, the ends were thin and damaged.  She really needed a cut.

Getting a lot taken off the bottom.

Im planning to find a Diva Curl Specialist in our area so I can get it cut more often without having to straighten it.  Im hoping in a year of so she'll be ok with the blow out.  I hate using the heated tools on her hair!  I was cringing the entire time!!

  1. This is amazing! She looks beautiful either way, and I can't believe how long her hair is when it's straight. Was it difficult to brush through the next morning?
