Deanna Rose

It's that time of year again so we headed to Deanna Rose! At this visit, the kids got to do some things they have not done there before, like "mining", fishing, and the horse drawn wagon ride.

After the kids figured out what we were doing they enjoyed rinsing out their sand bags and finding the gems.

The fishing was awesome.  I think we caught 6.  I was surprised since it was just a small pond.  We made my mom put the worms on and remove the fish, lol!!

Ava wanted zero help.  She threw a fit if you touched her pole!  So she was like this most of the time, with the top of her pole sitting in the water.  She actually caught one little fish!

My mom got the biggest catch

Can't go to Deanna Rose without feeding the goats.  Since the farm just opened, all the goat babies were out!  Soo cute!

They also got to ride the horses.  This was Gavins first ride.

After lunch and ice cream they played at the playground.

My sister wore a hooded sweatshirt and it ended up being over 70 degrees.  She got desperate and bought this T shirt from the gift shop.  It cracked me up!! I could hardly stop laughing at this picture.

The babies are much calmer and dont jump like the bigger goats.  Ava loved feeding them.  She liked giving them one piece of food at a time.

We ended the day with the horse drawn wagon ride.  This was Gavins favorite.  Im not sure Ive seen him smile so big!

Shake It Off

We got another sneak peek of Ava's recital dance.  She's doing really good!  She's on the right in all black with braids in her hair.

And more dancing at home!

Flying Suacer

At the church Easter Egg Hunt one of Ava's eggs had a ticket in it and she got to turn it in for a prize. She picked out a flying saucer.

Jon blasted it off and Ava was amazed.  But sure enough as it glided down it landed right in the tree!  Dad to the rescue!

Ava told Jon, "This is the coolest game ever!"

Look hard in the upper right corner and you'll see the yellow speck! After running after the saucer several times Ava was breathing pretty heavy.  I didn't think anything could wear her out!!

Ourdoor Fun

We've been hanging outside enjoying the nice weather.  All the fun of spring, bubbles, sidewalk chalk, grilling, fresh air.

This picture cracks me up.  Some things never change.  Ava still loves her cheerios.  I have a similar picture from a couple years ago here.

Ava created this all by herself.  It's a dinosaur with a balloon!

Grill season has started!!

Leo's enjoying the fresh air too.

Spring is in the Air

It's in the 70's so we are pulling out the bubbles! They never lose their magic huh? Ava just ran though them, chased them, jumped into them, popped them, and tried to eat them

Easter Wrap Up

This year the Easter Bunny came to our house while we were at church. So Ava was excited to get home and see what he left her! A basket of stickers, bubbles, glitter chalk, candy, and a coloring book.

Her favorite was the bubbles and candy.  Especially the jelly beans.

Ava was also excited to dye Easter eggs.  She wanted to do EVERYTHING herself!  I forgot to buy vinegar so I used water with the dye.  Wow, I wont ever do that again!  The dyeing process was soooo slow and they hardly got any color.

Pastels

And last, Grandma and Grandpa had an Easter Egg hunt at their house on Easter.  We tried to actually hide most the eggs vs just throw them in the grass.  The kids had fun looking for them.  Ava actually told Gavin, "THIS IS SO FUN!"

Look at Ava!  She was just filled with excitement about her eggs.  Each kid got a special golden egg which had a wind up dinosaur in it!

Easter School Party

Ava's school had a little Easter Party and Egg Hunt. This year the kids got to find 4 eggs (vs 2 eggs like last year). Ava was so happy to get her eggs but her excitement quickly faded once she realized all her eggs had erasers in them. No candy this year!! Her face kills me, LOL!! I had to hype up the erasers and once we got home I showed her what they did. She got a little more excited about them, and when Jon got home from work she eagerly showed him what the erasers do.

Poor Ava!!!!
