Tea and Shopping with Mom

This past weekend Jon and Ava had some daddy/daughter time while my mom and I spent the day having tea, crafting, and shopping.

We went to Ann Maries tea house in Liberty, MO. It's a very pretty home built in 1912.  The food and tea was wonderful.

Menu included broccoli soup, vegetable spread sandwich, pumpkin scones with caramel cream, and spice cake with orange marmalade glaze.  The tea was delicious, it was "Grandma's apple pie."

My mom being silly.  Notice the pinky?
Crafting

Next it was time for crafting.  We made vintage Christmas cones.  Ours were stuffed with hand made Christmas ornaments, berries, and branches.     Other ideas included home made potpourri or baked sweets.  We received a recipe for spiced ginger bread men and cinnamon clove balls.

Then it was on to shopping the downtown square.  Tea shops, antique stores, clothing boutiques, gift shops, and a candy store were the stops on our list.

I was drooling over these adorable baby booties!

Chocolate Shop
We had a lot of fun and plan to attend the tea shops German Christmas event where they decorate every room and allow guests to tour the entire home.
