Grandma's China

I love my grandmas china. After my holiday brunch party I decided to see if I could find the matching tea pot. Well, I got a little carried away!!

I found lots of extra pieces to the collection on Ebay! I ended up getting the tea pot, serving platter, serving bowl, 2-Tier serving tray, and sugar & creamer set. I love it! There is even more to the set that I may pick up a little later (gravy boat, butter dish, etc.).

The tea pot is so pretty. I think it will be perfect for my next tea party.

Another favorite is the 2-Tier serving tray. It is adorable!

  1. I think I shared before how much I like your Grandma's china as well! It really is beautiful. I'm glad that you were able to find the matching pieces--that can be hard to do sometimes! As for my china...my mother-in-law fires her own designs. So I have about five patterns to choose from. Wouldn't have been my first choice if I had picked it out in a store, but yet it was such a meaningful gift, so I can't complain. And if I ever need new pieces, she's just a phone call away. Wish I lived closer so that I could enjoy YOUR tea-party. :)

  3. Those dishes are even prettier than I remember, and I love that you were able to find fill in pieces. Being a dish lover myself, that is so-o-o-o cool. Enjoy!

  4. What a fortunate person you are to have your grandmother's beautiful china. She would feel so blessed to know that you shared it with the blogging world. Each piece looks so nice on your table, especially with the white tulips. Who wouldn't love to sit down at a table set with this. Thank you for sharing it.

  5. Oh I love it! I have 1/2 of my great grandmother's china. I need to hit ebay and see if I can find more of it.

    Enjoy your new treasures.

  6. I'm not a big ebay fan (too impatient to have to wait until an auction is over; if I want something, I just want it now and will decide if the price is right), but my dad is! He found more pieces of my mom's china and her every day Corningware. I think she's up to about 30 "everyday" place settings now! :-) He used pieces as birthday, anniversary, Christmas gifts for about a year!

  8. I love this china too. I found several place settings on Ebay too. I got them to use at a babyshower I gave for a friend of mine. We had a tea party and I would have loved the extra settings you found.

    Hugs,
    Joanne
