Santa Visit

Ava's 4th visit with Santa. She told him she wanted a fire truck.

Charlie Brown Christmas

Ava loved The Peanuts movie and has since been watching the Charlie Brown Christmas cartoon daily. So we took her and Gavin to see the Charlie Brown Christmas theater performance. Gavin is not as familiar with Peanuts so he was kind of bored, but Ava really liked it!! She actually has quite a few scenes memorized word for word. Afterwards we had lunch at Fritz's train restaurant and looked around Crown Center.

Nutcracker Tea Party

I took Ava to a Nutcracker Tea Party! It was awesome! During the event we got to watch a condensed version of the Nutcracker Ballet and get pictures with the cast. I was wondering if Ava would watch the entire thing and she did. She loved it, and really paid attention quite well.

Spanish dancers and a mouse.  The little black mouse was sneaking around the dining room and Ava was really scared of it!  But, she finally got brave and shook it's hand.  The fight scene was Ava's favorite.

Hometown Holidays

My hometown had a fun holiday event. The kids really enjoyed the horse drawn carriage ride around the square. My mom and I were troopers and let them do it twice even though it was so cold and drizzly out! They also got to meet Santa, roast s'mores, and do a "snow paint" art project.

My Mom and I took Avalyn to breakfast with the Snow Princess. It was soo cute! This might become a tradition.

Santa Party

We had another awesome Santa Party this year! This year we had photo props, cookie decorating, reindeer food, crafts, and stocking stuffers. Santa read Twas the Night Before Christmas and sang a couple songs with them. The kids are at such a fun age! They were all so excited to see Santa. It was cute listening to them tell Santa what they wanted for Christmas.   Ava said she wanted cars and a fire truck!

Christmas Tree

The tree is up! Ava was very excited this year to put up the tree. She helped a lot. She was especially excited when Jon put the bow on top for the final touch.
