Spring is in the Air

It's in the 70's so we are pulling out the bubbles! They never lose their magic huh? Ava just ran though them, chased them, jumped into them, popped them, and tried to eat them

Easter Wrap Up

This year the Easter Bunny came to our house while we were at church. So Ava was excited to get home and see what he left her! A basket of stickers, bubbles, glitter chalk, candy, and a coloring book.

 

Her favorite was the bubbles and candy.  Especially the jelly beans.

Ava was also excited to dye Easter eggs.  She wanted to do EVERYTHING herself!  I forgot to buy vinegar so I used water with the dye.  Wow, I wont ever do that again!  The dyeing process was soooo slow and they hardly got any color.

And last, Grandma and Grandpa had an Easter Egg hunt at their house on Easter.  We tried to actually hide most the eggs vs just throw them in the grass.  The kids had fun looking for them.  Ava actually told Gavin, "THIS IS SO FUN!"

Look at Ava!  She was just filled with excitement about her eggs.  Each kid got a special golden egg which had a wind up dinosaur in it!

Easter School Party

Ava's school had a little Easter Party and Egg Hunt. This year the kids got to find 4 eggs (vs 2 eggs like last year). Ava was so happy to get her eggs but her excitement quickly faded once she realized all her eggs had erasers in them. No candy this year!! Her face kills me, LOL!! I had to hype up the erasers and once we got home I showed her what they did. She got a little more excited about them, and when Jon got home from work she eagerly showed him what the erasers do.

Easter Egg Hunt 2

We had another Easter Egg Hunt at church.  Before it started we played at the park.  I love this picture of Ava.  Pure joy on her face.

Ava was a little hesitant about the Easter Bunny.  But, I don't blame her, she was a little creepy looking, lol.  More like an Alice and Wonderland Bunny than Easter Bunny!!

At the starting line.  Ava was pumped up and excited.  After the countdown she froze again and wouldn't budge.  Finally she picked up and egg and a laughy taffy popped out.  After she saw the candy she was ALL about the hunt, lol.

Ava finally warmed up to the bunny.  Later she told me she loves the Easter Bunny!

Easter Egg Hunt

We took Ava to the Ford Easter Egg Hunt. This was her very first Easter Egg Hunt.  She was a little caught off guard in the chaos at the start, she lost her shoe, and then fell and dumped her basket out!  But after that, she was back to it and ended up with lots of eggs.  She had a blast.

Easter Bunny

Ava was really excited to meet the Easter Bunny.  She walked up, waved at him, and showed him her basked of eggs.  Then she gave him a big hug.  She hugged his leg for like 30 seconds, like she just didn't want to let him go.  It was very sweet.
