Swimming

Pool season is in full swing and Ava is loving it! She's more brave than last year, and sometimes wants to jump in the deep. I've taken her in without her puddle jumper and boy she can kick!

Fathers Day

Ava was excited about Fathers day.  She kept calling it a birthday party because we had a cake!  She woke Jon early to give him a card and a craft she made at school.  Later Jon headed to a movie and Ava and I went to visit my dad.

T Rex

I took Ava to the T Rex restaurant. She was super excited until we got inside and she saw the big dinosaur, which every so often would growl. Then she started saying, "I wanna go bye bye." I had them seat us in the aquarium room and she was much better. Eventually she wanted to walk around and look at the dinosaurs and count them.

We stopped in the paleontologist area before leaving and she had fun digging around in the sand looking for dinosaur bones.

Drakes First Birthday

We recently celebrated Drakes birthday.  Can't believe this little guy is one!  The Train/ABC theme was really cute.  Stephanie did a great job, as usual!

Of course, Ava had fun playing with her pals.  I thought it was funny that out of all the toys in the whole house the kids were glued to the tennis balls!

Big Girl Bike

Look at this big girl! We were going to get her a bike for her birthday but decided to get it early so she could enjoy it all summer. She was SO excited to get it! She rode it throughout the store all the way up to the check out!

She does really well on it, we just have to stay right next to her and remind her to watch for cars. Once in a while she'll get stuck with pedaling and we'll have to give her a little push.

Great Wolf Lodge - Round 2

We went for a second round of fun at the Great Wolf Lodge with our friends Chloe and Stephanie. The girls had a lot of fun.  Actually, now every time we go swimming at the neighborhood pool Ava says, "Can we swim with Chloe?"
