The Ava Show

If I would allow it, Ava would watch YouTube videos all. day. long! 

It started with kids music videos.  Sometimes when I hear "Mommy finger Mommy finger where are you??"  I kind of want to throw the tablet out the window!! 

Then it moved on to videos with people creating things out of play-doh.  People opening a new toy and doing a review on it.  Videos of people doing a step by step video on how to dye Easter eggs.  And the most resent obsession is "treat eggs" and "prize eggs."

I noticed recently Ava would be in her play room and would "host" her own show!!  I was never fast enough to get it on video.  So one day I heard her digging through the cabinets for her Easter eggs.  Then she darted through the living room and into the play room and started rummaging through her toy box.  She walked over to me and wanted me to watch her open the eggs.  So I said, "HEY how about I make a VIDEO?!?"  She was all for it!

So here it is.  Do you think she needs her own YouTube channel??  LOL!!  She packed these eggs herself.  So all her "oh my's" and "wows" make it so funny!!

 

Summer Visit

We had a special visit from some of Ava's birth family!  It was very sweet and fun (besides the tornado warnings to the north and south of our location!!). We had dinner and then went to play at Dave and Busters! 

Mustang

One of my cousins passed down this power wheel to Ava and Gavin. They have a blast driving it around!

My favorite part of this video is where my dad is consoling Gavin (who's upset because Ava wants to drive by herself) and Ava just floors it and yells, "WATCH OUT!"

Zoo

Our annual trip to the zoo  This was Gavins very first visit and he was soo excited!

This was our first time trying the sky lift.  Ava had a blast.  It was so cool to see the animals from above!

My mom and Gavin loved the sky lift, KJ is scared of heights!!

We stayed the entire day.  The last hour the park was pretty much cleared out.  We went back to the polar bear and Ava got to watch him eat his dinner!  Very cool!

Ava and Crosby

When we were trying to get the group picture at the picnic, Crosby and Avalyn were up to no good, lol!  These two are too cute.  We may be in trouble when they are older.

 

 

 

Too funny, the kids are trying to be serious and take a cute picture but end up being photo bombed!  Good thing I could crop the picture!

 

 

I hope these two always remain good friends!

 

Adoption Family Picnic

Our adoption agency had their annual family picnic again this year.  We always look forward to this event because it's so fun to get everyone together.  Ava really enjoyed playing with her friends.  She also had her first snow cone, and as you can see it was HUGE!  There was a special appearance from Princess Ariel! Ava's been obsessed with her recently so this was perfect!

These are some of the great ladies I've met.  All of our adoptions were within 6 months of each other.

Chuck E Cheese

We've been to Chuck E Cheese a couple times recently. Ava is obsessed with arcades! She loved Chuck too!  Especially when he comes out to dance, lol!!
